Certified by the International Alliance for Fitness Professionals (IAFP) and the International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA) as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and Youth Sports Specialist, Ivan has over 15 years of experience in fitness, youth sports, and life skills training. He has worked with clients of all ages and fitness levels, including the New Orleans Pelican Cheerleaders, Metairie Park Country Day Basketball Players, Belle Chase High School Cheerleaders, and more.
When it comes to basketball he is well-informed and assiduously dedicated. Ivan grew up playing basketball in Harlem, and Washington Heights, New York, where he developed his skills and perfected his mastery. He also played junior college basketball at BMCC. The passion he exudes for his craft is contagious, as it is passed on to his clients. Ivan knows first-hand what it means to be a complete player and what it takes to get the attention of coaches and recruiters for college-ball. He strives to spread said knowledge to budding athletes so that they are amply prepared.
Ivan is exceptionally great at relating to individuals and teaching in a way that is hands-on and easy to understand. What sets him apart from other trainers is his expert ability to identify and target the immediate, short term, and long term needs of his clients. In addition to basketball and fitness training, Ivan is an avid youth mentor.

As a native New Orleanian, Patrick Carter witnessed the lack of positive figures in inner-city neighborhoods and has always had a calling to reach out to his community and help others succeed. He received his BS from Southern University New Orleans and has extensive experience in social work and mentoring.
In addition to social service, Patrick’s love for the game of basketball is also deeply rooted in his person. Patrick aided his high school team (Edna Karr Magnet) in their state championship
victory in 1996. Patrick went on to play collegiate basketball at Vermont Technical College, where he was awarded YSCC freshman of the year.
Naturally, Patrick fused both his passions into a profession where he is definitely qualified and enjoys doing every day. Patrick is a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor. His specialty is basketball skill training and youth empowerment.
